THE PROPERTY
Maui Kamaole is a 316-unit condominium community in sunny Kihei, Maui sitting on 24 acres of well-maintained tropical grounds. The distinctive sloped-roof, two-and-a-half story buildings are arranged in thirteen clusters giving the property a village feel.
Condos are all individually owned, with owners responsible for maintaining all aspects of the interior. The complex was built in stages between 1989 and 2001. Most units have undergone renovations so interior finishes now vary greatly. Downstairs units are one bedroom, two baths, and some have small dens. These units all have two ground-level lanais: one enclosed lanai off the bedroom and one open to the grounds from the living area. In the upstairs two-bedroom, two-bath units, the master bedroom is a semi-open loft with bathroom and private lanai behind the distinctive Maui Kamaole roof slats. Upstairs units also enjoy a large lanai off the living area and a small lanai off the main-floor bedroom.
There are two private pool areas, each with a hot tub and barbeque pavilion. The upper pool, with its lava rock waterfall is surrounded by lush vegetation and has a maximum depth of 3.5 feet. The lower rectangular pool, half of which is deep water, provides an opportunity for water exercise and lap swimming. Additional barbeque stations are conveniently located to serve every cluster. There are two tennis courts at the rear of the property.
World class Kamaole III and Keawakapu Beaches, as well as shops and restaurants, are just a short walks away. The property is located directly across the street from the small Kihei Boat Ramp Park where many whale-watching or dive trips originate. The ocean-front Eddie Pu Trail with restored native vegetation is adjacent to the boat launch area.
